She graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy and earned her Bachelor of Music degree with Honors in 1975 from the New England Conservatory of Music. She received a master’s degree in 1977 from Boston University. In 1975, she won the Joseph Silverstein prize for outstanding violinist. Strubler has also performed with the Boston Opera, Boston Pops, and Minnesota Orchestra. She and her husband Dave have been adoption advocates for 31 years.</image:caption>
