The Tapestry

A Musician's Story of Adoption and Redemption

Ann and David Strubler have been married for more than 30 years and live in Lake Orion, Michigan. They have three sons: Mark, Michael, and Matt, each a professional/amateur musician, and two granddaughters. David and Ann have been actively keynote speaking in over 200 colleges, churches, adoption benefit dinners and service clubs; their efforts have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for agencies that provide adoption-related services. They have been featured in metro and local newspapers, Detroit Public Television, DSO’s Performance magazine, and Boston University’s Bostonia.

Their son, Michael, wrote and scored “The Tapestry: A Musician’s Journey,” and produced the film with David Jouppi. Their son, Matthew, composed “The Tapestry: A Symphonic Poem." Their son, Mark and his wife Diana, appear in the film having played a key role in finding Ann's birth father, Joseph DiCarlo.
